Wahoo! I finally finished this one.

Wheels Are Turning

Here's what I'm working on now. This quilt is made up of three different sizes of blocks, each with a circle cut from strips appliqued in the center. This is the first applique I've done. I'm surely not very good at it - yet.

eBay Squares Quilt

I finally got around to making something with the nine-patch squares I bought on eBay. I like this one.

Baby OSU's Completed

Here are the two Oklahoma State baby quilts we completed for our baby and for our friends' Nathan and Stephanie's baby girl, Erin. Erin's is the one with the Steeler's backing. Her dad is a big OSU and Steelers fan. Neither one are very girly!

New Baby OSU

Here's another Oklahoma State quilt we made for our friends' baby girl. She hasn't made her debut yet, but she will soon. Her dad's a big OSU fan. Fun!

Quilt for Baby David

I was lucky enough to get some awesome fabrics from a huge stash that was given to Gym's mom. I went through it again not long ago and found this great retro car fabric. It was the perfect fit for my little nephew who will make his debut on September 29th. His momma and daddy are both car enthusiasts and they're even decorating his nursery using a car theme. Here's the baby quilt I just finished for him.

Ann's Baby Star Quilt

Look at this pretty baby star quilt Gym's mom made. I really like it. We've had it for a long time and now we can share it with our baby girl. It's hand-quilted. Sweet!

Another Quilt for the Baby

Gym asked that I make an Oklahoma State quilt for our baby girl. We sewed this little top up in a day. Baby quilts are fun, because they're quick!

Sweet Butterflies for Our Sweet Baby

Here's the top and backing fabric for our baby's quilt. I'm really excited to have it finished! Now I just need to decide what quilting pattern to use.

Gym's OSU BQ

For my husband's first Father's Day, I finally got around to making a quilt that he's been wanting for a long time. I really like this BQ pattern. I'm still wondering why it's called that, though.
It was simple enough that I was able to cut it out and sew it up all in one weekend. He really likes it and that makes me happy. I'd like to use this pattern again and make a scrappy version. We'll see.....

50th Anniversary Progress

I took this picture just before our camera died. Sorry for the graininess. This is the 50th wedding anniversary quilt laid out, but not sewn together yet. It's only taken me two years to get this far....

Fabulous eBay

First of all, I'd like to give a shout out to my sweet brother on his birthday. He's a great dad to my two best girls and husband to my angel. He's also the best brother a girl could ever ask for. I LOVE YOU BROTHER!

I've always been a big eBay fan - now I'm a HUGE eBay fan! I got a new issue of a quilting magazine in and it had an article about buying already completed quilt blocks on eBay. Who knew? Not me.

Check out my first two purchases - a whopping 40 Nine-Patch squares and 12 really pretty flower in stars blocks. I can't wait to put these togther. I've got plenty of scrap fabric to create sashing and borders, so the sky's the limit. Plus, the tops I make from these could be completed in a day easily. Wahooooo!

The Back of the Quilt

Here's a shot of me working on the quilt from the previous post. It's on my mother-in-law's fantastic quilting machine. I like this picture because you can see how pretty the back of the quilt turned out. I used white thread and a new heart pattern and it looked great on the brown backing. Fun!

Another Magazine Pattern

Here's another pattern from a quilting magazine. It uses fat quarters and the fabric to frame the small pieces. Fun....

The Court Jester

Here's a new pattern I tried. Gym bought me a good quilting magazine and this one was in there. I think it would have looked better with solid colors.

Check out this top we quilted for Gym's friend Texas Joe. It's really beautiful.
